Lic, do you have insurance!?! Is Shane considered to be self-employed? Let me know if we should establish a non-profit foundation or start begging on the streets. I'll do it! I'll help any way I can. That is a crazy amount of money...but I know anything is worth it for our babies. I was complaining about my $127 bill the Children's Hospital ER when Josie had her rash...but now I see that's nothing compared to your bill.
Are things improving with your sweet little boy? Please let me know what I can do for you Babe!! Seriously! One of your posts said you were back at the hospital...I'm so close Sweetie...literally like 3 minutes away. I can bring you dinner, I can come visit if you would like. Anything...just let me know! Thanks for your post, they made me cry. They allowed me to feel. Made me grateful and helped me to realize that life isn't so bad. That is one heck of a bill! It will all work out... lets get together soon.

Oh, I am sure you know this, but if you are having to pay out-of-pocket for that, negotiate the bill down. They will probably cut a HUGE chunk off if you negotiate with them.
SERIOUS!!! That's more than a lot of Americans make in a year! I agree with Camille's post. Usually, they will lower the bill significantly and let you do payment plans. I hope the things they discovered and did for him have helped.

We had one of those last year. I'm pretty sure ours was well over 100,000. I had insurance and ended up paying $6,000 out of pocket. I hope you are in a similar situation!
