I absolutely loved this movie. Yes the subject matter is heavy, yes it's in French...but that's exactly what I love about it.This is the kind of movie Shane would NEVER want to see but the very kind I adore. The acting is perfectly understated and the music and cinematography are wonderful.

I love a good mystery and tale of redemption...this movie is both.

P.S. It's rated PG-13 for thematic material (i.e. heavy material) and smoking...never seen that one before. No sex, no cussing.

If You Love Pride & Prejudice....

...then you MUST watch this movie. I just finished it and I'm still smiling sappy smiles. You can find it on Netflix.

The flick: We both loved this documentary. We were a little worried when in the first minute of the film Farmer John ate dirt from his field and had a lady dancing behind his tractor but that actually had nothing to do with the movie. The farmer is a well spoken, intelligent man who never gave up inspite of daunting odds. Pretty inspiring stuff.

The grub: Portobello Mushroom Burgers with Red Peppers and Gorgonzola...if I may say so myself, amazing. Recipe here.

Dan In Real Life

This movie was impressive...not a single cuss word, no sex and no violence. I'm not sure why it's rated PG-13...except for some innuendo. Shane semi-enjoyed it and I definitely enjoyed it.
