{sigh}

Yogi Berra once said, "It ain't over till it's over."

So true.

We waged the good fight on behalf of Prop 8 knowing in our hearts that there would be more to come...I just didn't expect it so soon.

It's been hard to know what's really been going on with protests around CA. A friend sent me this article and it gave me some clarity.

What to do? Some recent words from Robert D. Hales:

"Through the years we learn that challenges to our faith are not new, and they aren’t likely to disappear soon. But true disciples of Christ see opportunity in the midst of opposition.

When we do not retaliate—when we turn the other cheek and resist feelings of anger—we too stand with the Savior. We show forth His love, which is the only power that can subdue the adversary and answer our accusers without accusing them in return. That is not weakness. That is Christian courage."

Amen.

We are saddened by all of the protests against the church. My parents have even been feeling in CT and it is sad that people just don't understand our beliefs. I love the quote by Elder Hales; thanks for sharing it!
